In a move to strengthen Libya’s startup ecosystem from the ground up, Bina Incubator for Entrepreneurship has announced a new partnership with the Higher Institute of Science and Technology (Al-Shomoukh). The collaboration aims to identify and nurture promising student entrepreneurs, providing them a direct path from academia to the market.
Quick Facts

- 20 student-led projects selected for incubation.
- A comprehensive 6-month support program is offered.
Bridging Academia and Entrepreneurship
The partnership kicked off with a workshop titled “Entrepreneurship and Small Projects,” led by Mustafa Al-Sakizli, General Manager of the Bina International Program. The session targeted final-year students across various specializations, focusing on the fundamentals of transforming academic ideas and graduation projects into commercially viable startups.
Key topics included developing business models, conducting feasibility studies, and strategies for securing investment to build sustainable businesses. The initiative is designed to instill an entrepreneurial mindset among students before they enter the workforce.
From Graduation Projects to Market-Ready Ventures
As part of the collaboration, Bina Incubator will onboard 20 promising projects from the institute’s student body into its next cohort. The selected teams will undergo a rigorous six-month incubation program.
This program provides participants with integrated support, including specialized training, dedicated mentorship, guidance on preparing business plans, and networking opportunities with potential investors. The ultimate goal is to equip these student founders with the tools and connections necessary to launch their ventures successfully.
