Saudi education technology startup AILA has raised $3 million in a Pre-Series A round led by Rua Growth Fund, with participation from Jo Academy, 500 Global, Bunat VC and Fikr Ventures.
AILA develops AI-powered tools that identify students’ learning gaps, personalize study and practice, and give educators clearer insights into performance. Its products include AILA Tests, a personalized exam-preparation platform for schools, and AILA Labs, its research and development hub.
According to the company, the new funding will support expansion into regional and international markets, further development of its AI-powered learning experience, and efforts to reach more students, educators, schools and education systems.
Jo Academy also joined as a strategic investor, bringing experience in education and digital learning. The company said the investor group will provide networks and market knowledge as AILA builds partnerships and enters new markets.
AILA is led by CEO Yousef Alsayed and aims to make personalized learning more accessible to students in Saudi Arabia and beyond.
