The Sohag Directorate of Youth and Sports held a seminar on investment and entrepreneurship for 155 university students and recent graduates in the Egyptian governorate.

The event was organised in partnership with the Sohag Media Complex and implemented by the Union of Youth Manages Sohag. It focused on introducing participants to investment concepts, entrepreneurship and ways to develop ideas into viable small businesses and companies.

Mohamed Zakaria, undersecretary of the Sohag Directorate of Youth and Sports, said the session aimed to economically empower young people and help them understand investment mechanisms. He also highlighted the importance of connecting participants with practical experiences in investment and business creation.

Iman Emam, director of the Sohag Media Complex, said initiatives of this kind can help young people build innovation and entrepreneurship skills while preparing for changing labour-market needs. She also encouraged youth participation and volunteering in programmes designed to support their development.

The seminar forms part of broader efforts to equip young people with skills that can support their entry into the workforce and encourage the creation of new job opportunities.
