The central Entrepreneurship Secretariat of Egypt’s Mostaqbal Watan Party has launched a new initiative focused on moving its entrepreneurship agenda from formation to implementation.

The initiative, titled “A Nation Innovates,” was announced during the secretariat’s first organisational meeting since its restructuring. The meeting was held at the party’s headquarters in New Cairo and focused on its upcoming work plan, proposed initiatives and implementation mechanisms.

Mohamed Mazloum, head of the secretariat, said the initiative would support the development and execution of both new and existing business ideas. The next phase will focus on delivering the secretariat’s goals and vision, according to the announcement.

The meeting also explored ways to connect technology with Egypt’s financial system, with the stated aim of addressing the parallel economy. Other discussions covered potential healthcare initiatives, legislation to protect entrepreneurship and the use of social media platforms to support the secretariat’s programmes.

Ahmed Abdelgawad, the party’s secretary-general and deputy chairman, stressed the importance of cooperation, organisation and sustained work to serve citizens.
