The Regional Committee for Human Development in Meknes, Morocco, has approved 31 new projects as part of the third program of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH). These projects, which fall under the “Support for Youth Entrepreneurship” axis, aim to promote the economic inclusion of young people and boost human capital.

By the Numbers

The latest approvals bring the total number of youth-focused projects for the year to over 100:

  • 31 New Projects: The number of projects approved in the latest meeting.
  • 2.8 Million MAD: The total budget allocated for these 31 projects.
  • 86% INDH Contribution: The percentage of funding for these projects provided by the National Initiative for Human Development, benefiting 32 project holders.
  • 101 Total Projects in 2025: The total number of youth entrepreneurship projects approved by the committee in Meknes this year, mobilizing a total investment of over 9.5 million MAD.

A Year of Consistent Support

This recent approval builds on the committee’s prior work in 2025. During two previous meetings, the committee had already approved 70 projects under the same youth entrepreneurship axis, with a total investment of approximately 7 million MAD. This brings the total for the year to 101 projects supported by the committee.

A Call for a Participatory Approach

During the meeting, Ahmed Saber, the Secretary-General of the Meknes prefecture, praised the committee’s efforts in selecting and monitoring the projects. He also called for strengthening the participatory approach by involving various stakeholders and accelerating the project approval process. This will enable beneficiaries to establish their projects more quickly and benefit from effective and targeted support.
