Dubai-based startup REVYN has launched a peer-to-peer resale platform that charges sellers no commission, allowing users to buy and sell secondhand products across the UAE.
Available on iOS and Android, the marketplace covers categories including clothing, furniture, electronics, books and accessories. REVYN said it generates revenue by charging buyers a 10% transaction fee plus AED 2.5 per purchase, while sellers keep the full value of each sale.
The company reported more than 1,000 users and over 900 product listings during its first month of operation. It said the model is designed to encourage more listings, improve pricing transparency and extend the life of products that might otherwise be discarded.
REVYN cited UAE figures showing that approximately 220,000 tonnes of clothing are discarded annually, with around 88% ending up in landfills. The startup said its platform supports the country’s circular economy and waste reduction goals.
Founded by Federica Bonometti and Malahat Bevandi, REVYN operates from Dubai Internet City and is backed by in5 Tech and Founders HQ. The startup has also begun raising capital from angel investors to support regional expansion.
