Commercial International Bank (CIB) has received MEED’s 2026 award for Best SME Bank in Egypt, recognising its support for startups and small and medium-sized businesses.
According to the announcement, CIB’s offering extends beyond lending to include liquidity management, digital banking services, financial advice and other solutions designed for companies at different stages, from launch to expansion.
The bank said its digital services help business owners complete transactions more efficiently while reducing operating time and costs. It also highlighted flexible financing products tailored to the needs of growing companies.
The award followed competition among banks from 11 countries. CIB executives said the recognition reflects the bank’s focus on innovation, financial inclusion and supporting the growth of Egypt’s business sector.
Yasser Abdel-Lah, CIB’s deputy CEO for retail and SMEs, said the bank would continue developing its customer experience and support for businesses. Hany El-Deeb, head of SME sectors, products and credit relationships, described the award as international recognition for the bank’s financing and advisory services.
