Alexandria-based AI company TokenAI has announced Horus Cyper, a cybersecurity model designed to identify software vulnerabilities, analyse security risks and support remediation workflows.
TokenAI said the model uses a Mixture-of-Experts architecture and a 128K context window, allowing it to process large codebases, security reports and audit logs in a single workflow. It is also being trained on cybersecurity, software engineering, code and security analysis data.
The company has submitted a formal request to Egypt’s National Council for Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, and Emerging Technologies. TokenAI said Horus Cyper will not be released, open sourced or made available through its Horus Code IDE until approval is granted.
The model is planned for release in September 2026, subject to the Council’s decision. TokenAI said it will be offered in multiple versions, including one planned for open-source release, while the core version will remain closed and be available through Horus Code and official partners.
Horus Cyper follows TokenAI’s earlier Horus model releases, including the Arabic-optimised Horus 1.0-4B and the multimodal Horus Hiero models. The startup was founded by developer Assem Sabry.
