CrediMax and Mastercard Explore Agentic Commerce for Bahrain Merchants

1 Min Read

CrediMax and Mastercard are exploring agentic commerce capabilities to help merchants across Bahrain prepare for AI-assisted shopping and payments.

The collaboration will examine solutions delivered through Mastercard Merchant Cloud, including Agent Suite for Merchants. The tools are designed to help businesses make their products discoverable to AI platforms and prepare their websites and apps for shopping journeys in which consumers authorize AI agents to research, compare and purchase products.

Mastercard Agent Connect will enable AI agents to interact with merchants, commerce platforms and payment providers through a single connection, while Agent Pay is designed to support secure, consumer-authorized payments made by AI agents.

According to the announcement, the solutions will allow merchants to retain control over pricing, inventory, order fulfilment and business rules while maintaining their brand identity and customer experience.

CrediMax CEO Andrew Hocking said the company’s merchant relationships would help identify practical use cases and make adoption more accessible. Mastercard’s Saud Swar said the collaboration would align the technology with businesses’ operational needs and commercial priorities.
