Inaugurated by HE Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the initiative’s Advisory Board, Companies House acts as a unified destination for business registration and licensing. The centralized platform provides a simpler, more integrated experience for local founders, startups, and international investors seeking to establish operations in the country. By cutting down on bureaucratic friction, the entity serves as a critical step toward creating a highly competitive business environment.
Consolidating Services Across Key Economic Hubs
The new organization oversees business incorporation and operations across the state’s major special economic zones, including the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC), the Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZ), Media City Qatar, and the Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP). Unifying these jurisdictions under one roof, Companies House maintains public registers and facilitates essential corporate tax and immigration procedures for registered companies. Additionally, the authority acts as a regulatory checkpoint, ensuring that all businesses rigorously apply national labor standards and data protection measures.
