Saudi fintech startups will have access to a 12-week development program launched by Saudi Aramco’s entrepreneurship arm, Wa’ed, in partnership with Fintech Saudi.
The program will support 12 startups through workshops and training sessions held in Riyadh and virtually, starting at the end of February. Eligible companies must have a viable product, a technology-experienced founder and at least one dedicated full-time team member.
Following the course, three startups will be selected for Wa’ed’s incubation program and may receive grants of up to SR500,000 ($133,280), according to the announcement. Participants will also have access to meetings with regulators through the program team.
The initiative is being launched in collaboration with venture capital firm Flat6Labs.
