Egypt’s Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) has highlighted the Future Forward forum as a model for connecting young people with training, employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
Organised by Ora Communication at the Creativity Egypt Innovation Hub in Beni Suef, the forum was held in partnership with Venture X, the centre’s official operator, and under ITIDA’s supervision. The event focused on strengthening innovation, entrepreneurship and employment pathways.
Rania Alwany, senior projects manager at ITIDA, said the Creativity centres are designed to offer more than standalone training. They aim to help young people identify career paths, build relevant skills and connect with market opportunities. She added that the model depends on cooperation between universities, the private sector and government institutions.
According to Alwany, the Beni Suef centre trained around 5,000 young people between 2024 and 2026 in entrepreneurship, freelancing, career development and technology. The centre has also supported more than eight startups in the governorate and is part of a network that has expanded to 17 governorates.
During the forum, Ora Communication CEO John Gerges announced Next Step, an initiative intended to help graduates and aspiring entrepreneurs turn ideas into businesses. The company said it will provide support with legal procedures, hiring, consulting and workspace. Ora, which employs more than 3,000 people, including over 2,000 in Beni Suef, also plans to expand its summer training opportunities.
