Cairo-based educational technology platform eYouth has announced a strategic partnership with Doroob, a Syrian startup focused on education-for-employment. The alliance aims to combine eYouth’s extensive digital content library with Doroob’s on-the-ground training hubs to equip Syrian youth with in-demand skills for the modern job market.
Quick Facts
- Who: Egypt’s eYouth and Syria’s Doroob.
- What: A partnership to deliver hybrid skills training.
- Why: To improve youth employability across Syria.
A Hybrid Model for a Challenging Market
The partnership integrates two distinct but complementary models. eYouth, which has reached over 3 million learners and helped more than 700,000 graduates find jobs across 21 countries, brings a massive digital library and a wide network of instructors to the table.
Doroob provides the critical local infrastructure. The Syrian startup operates a hybrid system combining a digital platform with a network of physical training centers in more than seven Syrian provinces. This on-the-ground presence, strengthened by collaborations with local ministries, allows for in-person and blended learning that traditional online-only platforms cannot offer.
Under the agreement, eYouth’s digital courses in technology, freelancing, and entrepreneurship will be integrated into Doroob’s local network, giving Syrian students access to high-quality content backed by practical, hands-on support.
From Digital Content to Direct Employment
Both companies are focused on a clear outcome: translating education directly into employment. The collaboration is designed to ensure the skills being taught are precisely what local and regional employers are looking for.
“Syrian youth possess immense potential and deserve training that leads them directly to real employment opportunities,” said Mostafa Abdellatif, CEO of eYouth. “By linking our regional platform with Doroob’s local training centers and deep understanding of the Syrian market, we will deliver programs that actively help young people build the exact skills that companies are demanding today.”
Sami Al-Ahmad, Co-Founder and CEO of Doroob, highlighted the partnership’s potential for rapid scaling and impact.
“Our primary goal is to transform education into employment,” Al-Ahmad stated. “By delivering eYouth’s digital content within our hubs and collaborating with Syrian ministries, we are building a fast, flexible, and effective pathway to prepare youth for the labor market in every single Syrian province.”
Moving forward, the two startups plan to co-launch joint programs and coordinate with government bodies, international organizations, and private sector companies to create sustainable employment opportunities for young people in Syria.
