King Khalid University has announced the launch of “Riyadah 30,” a major summer training program designed to equip 3,000 participants with critical innovation and entrepreneurship skills. The initiative targets aspiring founders from within the university and across Saudi Arabia, aiming to foster a culture of innovation and help transform creative ideas into competitive, high-growth startups.

Quick Facts

  • Target: Train 3,000 participants from across the Kingdom.
  • Duration: 120 training hours over a 6-week period.
  • Partners: Collaboration with Saudi Arabia’s SME Authority (Monsha’at).

A Comprehensive Digital Training Experience

The program is set to run from July 5th to August 13th, 2026, delivered entirely remotely through the university’s digital academy, KKUX. This fully digital format provides a flexible learning environment, blending theoretical knowledge with practical application over 30 training days.

“Riyadah 30” features a dense curriculum of 39 workshops led by a team of over 30 trainers from the university. The program is designed to guide participants through the entire entrepreneurial journey.

Bridging Theory with Practical Mentorship

In a significant collaboration, the program has partnered with the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises, “Monsha’at,” to provide specialized one-on-one guidance and advisory sessions. This ensures participants receive expert feedback tailored to their specific projects.

To further enrich the learning experience, the program will host weekly meetings every Thursday with established entrepreneurs. These sessions are intended to offer practical insights and real-world lessons, connecting participants directly with the local startup ecosystem.

Dr. Lamia Al-Qahtani, the program’s supervisor, explained that the content covers a diverse range of essential topics, including innovation, design thinking, prototyping, e-commerce, marketing, finance, intellectual property, sustainability, and social entrepreneurship.

Al-Qahtani added that the initiative reflects the university’s strategy to build an integrated entrepreneurial support system that invests in young talent. The goal is to provide participants with the skills needed to navigate the investment landscape and lead their ventures with efficiency and a focus on long-term sustainability.
