Oman’s Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development, Riyada, has opened registration for a specialised training programme focused on turning waste into business opportunities.

Delivered through the Riyada Entrepreneurship Academy, the programme aims to help participants identify investment opportunities in recycling and develop innovative, sustainable project ideas.

The programme will be held across three governorates: Al Dhahirah from October 4 to 8, 2026, North Al Batinah from October 11 to 15, and Muscat from October 25 to 29.

Sessions will cover the circular economy and waste management, recycling investment opportunities, early-stage business planning, waste-based business models and the economic feasibility of recycling projects.

Applicants must be Omani entrepreneurs whose businesses have operated for at least one year and are registered in Riyada’s database. Participants must also be able to use computers and understand some English terminology, according to the announcement.
