Bridging the Gap Between Startups and Industry
The “Private Sector Roundtable – PASS Project” sessions brought together a wide array of industry representatives from sectors including ICT, tourism, transport, logistics, banking, and healthcare. The core objective was to map out practical pathways for collaboration between established companies and emerging startups.
Discussions focused on identifying potential partnership areas, learning from past engagement experiences, and understanding the primary needs and challenges startups face when trying to access larger markets and secure business opportunities.
BIG by Orange: A Decade of Ecosystem Support
The initiative builds on Orange Jordan’s long-standing commitment to the local entrepreneurial scene. For over a decade, the “BIG by Orange” accelerator has been a central pillar in the ecosystem, providing startups with training, networking opportunities, and guidance on attracting investment.
Orange Jordan stated that the PASS programme aligns with its corporate strategy to help transform promising ideas into viable businesses that contribute to the Kingdom’s national economy and digital innovation goals. The company views these efforts as crucial for creating a positive societal impact by fostering entrepreneurship and unlocking sustainable growth opportunities.
The PASS Programme’s Long-Term Vision
Running until October 2026, the PASS programme aims to directly support 130 startups. The goal is to improve the efficiency of their production processes and increase their market share through a series of specialized workshops and mentorship sessions led by business experts.
This program is implemented in collaboration with Jordan’s Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship (MoDEE) and is co-funded by Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the European Union in Jordan.
