For the second consecutive year, Tunisia is making a significant appearance at London Tech Week, with a delegation of more than 20 startups and digital companies showcasing their innovations. The national pavilion aims to connect Tunisian founders with international investors and partners at the major European tech event, which runs from June 8 to 12, 2026.
Quick Facts
- Delegation Size: Over 20 Tunisian startups and firms.
- Event: London Tech Week, June 8-12, 2026.
- Primary Goal: Attract UK and European investment and partnerships.
A Coordinated Push for Global Recognition
The Tunisian presence is organized by the Confederation of Tunisian Citizen Enterprises (CONECT) and the Tunisian-British Chamber of Commerce. The initiative is backed by a broad coalition of public and private entities, including the Tunisian Embassy in London, the UK Embassy in Tunis, and the World Bank-funded “Innovative Startups and SMEs” project.
This project is implemented by Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC) in partnership with Smart Capital. Additional support comes from the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA-Tunisia) and an association of Tunisian alumni from prominent UK universities, highlighting a coordinated strategy to build bridges between the two ecosystems.
Connecting with Capital and Key Players
The delegation, which includes investment funds and accelerator representatives alongside the startups, has a schedule designed to maximize networking and business opportunities. The Tunisian pavilion will host institutional visits from key figures, including Anthony William Cat, founder of Ventures 54, and Ben Lonsly, the UK’s Acting Trade Commissioner for Africa.
The program also features a networking session with Tunisian professionals based in the UK and a panel on female leadership in technology with a delegation from the International Council of Businesswomen. A central part of the agenda involves direct pitching sessions where Tunisian startups will present their ventures to an audience of international investors and potential partners.
Positioning Tunisia as a Tech Bridge
This participation is part of a broader national strategy to promote Tunisia as an emerging technology hub connecting Europe, Africa, and the Arab world. By showcasing its national talent and innovative solutions on a global stage, the country aims to strengthen economic and technical cooperation with the United Kingdom. The ultimate objective is to attract international investment and expertise, opening new avenues for commercial and technological partnerships for its growing startup scene.
