Saudi Arabia has recorded an 89% improvement in latency for some of its most popular electronic games, according to the Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST).
The findings were included in the fifth edition of CST’s Saudi Internet report, which showed latency as low as 11 milliseconds for Teamfight Tactics and League of Legends, and 12 milliseconds for Mobile Legends.
Smart devices were the most-used gaming platform, accounting for 22.1% of usage, followed by PlayStation at 21.8%. Weekly gaming was the most common frequency at 32.1%, ahead of intermittent gaming at 31% and daily gaming at 29.2%.
The report also found that IoT subscriptions in the Kingdom had reached 13.85 million. Urban population coverage using Narrowband Internet of Things technology stood at approximately 99%, supported by more than 30,000 towers, while household IoT adoption reached 18%.
According to the report, Saudi Arabia ranked first globally in the International Telecommunication Union’s 2025 Digital Readiness Index.
