SEED will host a meetup on August 8 in Damascus focused on the development of Syria’s AgriTech and FoodTech startup ecosystem.
The event will bring together entrepreneurs, researchers, private-sector representatives and ecosystem supporters to discuss the sector’s current landscape, growth opportunities and ways to strengthen collaboration. Organisers said the discussion will also examine how partnerships between startups, companies, universities and support organisations can drive innovation and help build more sustainable businesses.
Speakers include Sedra Abdulbaset, founder and CEO of Trace-lit; Dr. Mohammad Riyad Al-Mahdi, director general of Verdiva Agricultural Development; and business development consultant Muayad Abdeen.
The in-person meetup will take place from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM GMT+3 at DIGIT Innovation Hub in Damascus’s Kafr Sousa district.
