Orange Corners Morocco has launched its first 100% Women Cohort, a programme focused on supporting women entrepreneurs and expanding opportunities for female-led businesses across the country.
The initiative began with a selection bootcamp where 38 entrepreneurs presented their ventures to a jury. They were selected from 394 applications and 41 shortlisted projects, according to the announcement.
The programme is implemented by Incubateur Bidaya with support from the Kingdom of the Netherlands and its embassy in Morocco. It is funded by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency and includes StartUp Maroc as a partner for the financial support component through the Orange Corners Innovation Fund.
The cohort aims to help women build innovative and sustainable businesses in Morocco. The selection jury included representatives from the Embassy of the Netherlands in Morocco, the Regional Directorate of Agriculture in Fès-Meknès, Cité de l’Innovation de Rabat, KHATWA PARTNERS, StartUp Maroc and Incubateur Bidaya.
