Qatar Development Bank (QDB) has launched Manarat, a 16-unit advanced manufacturing hub in Qatar’s New Industrial Area, opening applications to manufacturers developing technology-intensive products.

Developed with the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution at Qatar’s Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the facility is designed to help companies adopt Industry 4.0 technologies, including automation, artificial intelligence and advanced digital systems.

Manarat will target manufacturers in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, electronics and telecommunications, robotics, chemicals and related sectors. Eligible companies will undergo a two-stage assessment covering eligibility, technical readiness, and the technical and commercial viability of their projects.

Alongside ready-built factory units, QDB said participating companies will receive access to advisory services, financing solutions and export support. The hub is intended to bring Qatar-based manufacturers, international investors and technical expertise into a shared ecosystem.

The initiative also aims to help tenant factories work toward the standards associated with the World Economic Forum’s Global Lighthouse Network, which recognizes advanced manufacturing facilities using Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies.

Manarat supports Qatar’s National Manufacturing Strategy 2024–2030. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry said cumulative investment in the country’s industrial sector reached QAR 248.44B in the second quarter of 2026.
