Tanta University’s Faculty of Applied Arts held a workshop on Sunday, November 1, 2026, exploring how waste can be turned into creative products and entrepreneurial projects.

Titled “Recycling and Entrepreneurship: From Waste to Creative Products and Entrepreneurial Projects,” the workshop took place in Auditorium 1. It was organised as part of the faculty’s efforts to promote environmental sustainability, circular economy principles and entrepreneurship.

The session, led by Maha Amer, discussed how recycled materials can be transformed into products with functional and aesthetic value through design thinking, innovation and creativity. It also examined how these ideas could develop into small ventures and marketable products.

According to the announcement, the workshop aimed to help students apply their artistic and design skills to environmental challenges while encouraging self-employment and entrepreneurial thinking. The initiative also reflects the faculty’s focus on linking education with community needs and labour-market requirements.
