Sharjah Entrepreneurship Foundation (Ruwwad) has released a new book examining agricultural entrepreneurship in the UAE, with a case study focused on the emirate of Sharjah.

Titled Agricultural Entrepreneurship in the United Arab Emirates: Sharjah Case Study 2026, the publication is the first in Ruwwad’s annual research series on entrepreneurial sectors in Sharjah. It was prepared by the foundation’s Studies and Advisory Support Department and is available in Arabic and English.

The five-chapter book explores changes in Sharjah’s agricultural sector and the role of entrepreneurship, innovation and modern technologies in supporting food security, self-sufficiency and sustainable food supply chains. It also identifies opportunities for agricultural ventures and the factors supporting the sector in the emirate, according to the foundation.

The book will be available for public viewing at the Emirates Publishers Association stand in Hall 5, booth N21, during the 2026 Sharjah International Book Fair at Expo Centre Sharjah. Ruwwad will hold a launch ceremony in the Hall of Thought on November 9, with senior officials from the Department of Economic Development and the foundation expected to attend.
