Dubai-based foodtech startup jalebi.io is shutting down permanently after a run that included enterprise contracts with food and beverage operators across the GCC and a final MAJRA Gold Seal award in November 2025.
In a farewell post, the company said it had built a food and beverage operating system covering inventory, production operations and supply-chain management across multi-kitchen networks in six markets.
jalebi.io also said it had been recognised by the UAE Ministry of Economy’s Future100, MBRIF and Hub71, alongside international innovation platforms including KISED Korea and Platform Calgary. The company said its customers included major brands transitioning from Microsoft, SAP and Oracle, and that it had raised capital from angel investors, syndicates and institutional backers across the GCC.
Founded in 2021, jalebi.io offered restaurant inventory management software with a native point-of-sale system. Its closure marks the end of a company that positioned itself at the intersection of foodtech, supply chain, fintech and ESG-focused technology.
The team thanked its employees and encouraged other founders to continue working on difficult problems, describing the company’s shutdown as the end of a deeply ambitious journey.
