SPARK Announces Grant Winners To Accelerate Local Startup Growth in Jordan

SPARK has announced the selection of eight Jordanian startups to receive strategic grants through the “From Innovation to Creation” programme. Funded by the European Union, this initiative is designed to empower entrepreneurs by strengthening their operational and digital foundations, allowing them to better respond to local and regional market demands. The selected companies received grants ranging from €15,000 to approximately €21,000 to accelerate their growth and enhance scalability.

Driving Digital Transformation and Market Readiness

The programme focused on optimizing digital infrastructure and refining business models to ensure startups are market-ready. Many of the supported companies used the funding to upgrade core systems, improve platform performance, and enhance user experiences. Several ventures also implemented targeted digital strategies to expand their outreach to new markets, significantly increasing their visibility and client acquisition capabilities.

Impact on the Jordanian Startup Ecosystem

Founders participating in the programme noted significant transitions from early-stage prototypes to structured, resilient companies. For instance, Alefredo Edtech reported a 13% improvement in their business model’s unit economics following the grant intervention. Other startups, such as PHYTOBASE and Smart Eye, utilized the support to advance EMS technology and prepare for broader regional opportunities.
