DMZ Cairo has opened applications for its hybrid Pre-Incubation Program, designed for EDIN and UPEI students and alumni developing early-stage startup ideas.

The program will help participants validate their ideas, refine their business models and go-to-market strategies, and build or improve an MVP. It includes practical workshops, startup field visits and 1:1 mentorship from industry experts, with a focus on preparing teams for investment.

Applicants should have an innovative startup idea or business model, an initial MVP or prototype, and the right to develop and commercialize the concept. Teams of at least two members are preferred, and participants are expected to attend the full program.

The program begins with an online onboarding session on 10 August, followed by an in-person bootcamp on 17–18 August. Online mentorship will run from August to September, with a second bootcamp planned for September. The graduation date is yet to be announced.

The team commitment fee is EGP 1,000 for early applicants until 31 July and EGP 1,500 afterward. Applications close on 4 August 2026.
