The Egypt Entrepreneurship Awards (EEA) has launched its sixth edition and opened applications, unveiling this year’s award categories and a new advisory council at an event held at Mazeej Balad in Egypt.
The 2025 edition will place greater emphasis on networking and meaningful relationships, according to the announcement. EEA said its community of founders, investors, business leaders, judges and ecosystem partners is intended to create connections that support companies beyond the awards process.
To qualify, companies must be legally registered and operating in Egypt, with at least one Egyptian founder. They must have been active for at least two years and fewer than 10 years. Previous finalists and applicants can reapply, while past winners may only apply through a new company. Each applicant can enter one category and must submit the required supporting documents.
The 10 categories include Arab Entrepreneur of the Year, Rising Star, fintech, proptech, agritech, health and wellness, product design, e-commerce customer experiences, deeptech, and Best Collaboration Duo for practical cooperation and innovation.
Rachid Mohamed Rachid, founder of Bidayat and chairman of Beymen Group, will lead the new advisory council for 2025 to 2030. The awards ceremony, where winners will be announced, is set to take place at the Grand Egyptian Museum.
