Bahrain’s Minister of Industry and Commerce Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro has opened the first headquarters of Entrepreneurs’ Organization Bahrain (EO Bahrain), in a move aimed at strengthening support for entrepreneurs and the private sector.
The new headquarters is intended to provide a platform for entrepreneurs to connect, exchange expertise, build partnerships and develop leadership capabilities, according to the announcement. EO Bahrain President Mohammed Abdulali Al Aali said the facility marks a new phase for the organisation and will support learning, innovation and business growth.
Founded in Bahrain in 2004, EO Bahrain has more than 50 entrepreneur members representing over 12 sectors, including industry, technology, construction, healthcare, financial services and logistics. Companies led by its members employ more than 5,118 full-time workers and generate annual revenues exceeding $150M, according to the announcement.
The organisation also runs EO Accelerator, a programme that supports emerging and growing companies with tools and expertise designed to accelerate growth and help them reach $1M in annual revenue.
The opening comes as Bahrain continues efforts to develop its entrepreneurship ecosystem through business-friendly regulations, private-sector initiatives and programmes focused on company growth and expansion.
