Applications have closed for the sixth edition of EEA’s Arab Entrepreneur of the Year Award, with shortlisting and judging now underway ahead of the December 4 ceremony at the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
The award is open to businesses with at least one Arab founder that are legally registered and operating in an Arab country. Eligible companies must have been active for at least two years but fewer than 10. Egyptian founders are excluded from this category.
This year’s theme, “Collective Momentum,” places the award in a broader regional context, highlighting how connections between entrepreneurs, investors and business leaders can help companies expand beyond their home markets.
Judges will assess businesses based on their growth, measurable market impact and regional or international expansion, rather than sector or business model. The panel includes Dr Nabeel Koshak, former founding CEO of Saudi Venture Capital; Amr El Abd, Regional Managing Director at Endeavor and former founding CEO of Egypt Ventures; and Abdallah Abu-Sheikh, founder of Mal and co-founder of Astra Tech.
The first Arab Entrepreneur of the Year award is intended to bring businesses from different Arab markets into a shared conversation and increase their visibility among investors, partners and ecosystem leaders.
