Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company and Arab Invest have signed a memorandum of collaboration to explore investment opportunities in Bahrain across private and public markets.

The partnership will create a framework for sharing and evaluating opportunities that could be pursued independently or through co-investments. Potential areas include private equity, venture capital, growth capital, private credit, structured financing and significant minority investments, alongside listed equities and other capital-markets transactions.

In public markets, the collaboration will focus primarily on Bahraini issuers and transactions that support the development of the Kingdom’s capital markets. The parties will also examine opportunities to support capital deployment and sustainable economic growth in line with Bahrain’s long-term economic vision, according to the announcement.

The agreement was announced at Gateway Gulf 2026, hosted by the Bahrain Economic Development Board at the Four Seasons Hotel from November 1 to 2, 2026.

Mumtalakat CEO Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa said the partnership would combine Mumtalakat’s local market knowledge with Arab Invest’s regional reach. Arab Invest CEO Abdullah Bakhraibah said the platform could support its role as a strategic or anchor investor in selected primary-market transactions.
