Algeria’s Ministry of Youth, in partnership with UNICEF’s Algeria office, has launched a training program for social entrepreneurship facilitators under the Upshift initiative.

Running from November 3 to 7 at the National Teams Preparation Centre in Fouka, Tipaza, the program brings together 30 youth-sector professionals from across Algeria, along with youth coordinators and leaders from the DZ Young Leaders program.

International expert Fawzia Bersouli is leading the training, which includes interactive workshops on life skills, human-centered design, social and environmental innovation, team building and self-discovery.

Participants will also work on identifying problems, developing relevant solutions and preparing a model for a social business plan.

According to the ministry, the initiative is designed to help young people build the skills needed to develop innovative social projects and contribute to addressing community and environmental challenges.
