Baldna Food Industries Syria has signed a memorandum of understanding with GrowFast for Investment and Entrepreneurship to support entrepreneurship, innovation and promising startups in Syria.

Signed in Damascus, the agreement will establish a framework for joint programs to identify and develop entrepreneurial projects, connect eligible startups with development, financing and investment opportunities, and strengthen links across the entrepreneurship ecosystem. The companies said the details and implementation arrangements will be set out in later agreements.

The partnership also includes the launch of a program focused on accelerating and empowering entrepreneurship in agricultural and food technologies. It targets Syrian entrepreneurs, university students, graduates and researchers, helping them turn ideas and research into viable solutions and businesses.

Support will include university-based training, mentoring and technical consulting. Focus areas include smart agriculture, water management, crop and livestock production, and agricultural supply chains.

Baldna also announced a startup competition focused on agriculture and agri-tech. Results and prizes are expected to be announced in May 2027. GrowFast will coordinate the program with Baldna under arrangements to be agreed by both sides.
