Blossom Capital has invested in Clinova, an AI-powered clinical trial recruitment startup, as the company moves from Georgia to Saudi Arabia and joins the accelerator’s portfolio.
Clinova’s platform processes handwritten, multilingual and unstructured medical records to identify patients who may qualify for clinical trials. According to Blossom Capital, the system can complete the process in minutes rather than months, with a 94% matching accuracy rate.
The platform operates within hospital infrastructure, meaning medical records are not transferred externally. It identifies patients anonymously and reveals personal data only after explicit digital consent through a doctor. The system also maintains an audit trail for access and matching activity.
Clinova is currently operating in Georgia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. Blossom said the company’s technology opens access to a market of 300 million patients that has been difficult for global pharmaceutical companies to reach.
The startup’s relocation to Saudi Arabia is being supported by Blossom Capital. Clinova lists data security software as its industry and has a team of 2 to 10 employees.
