Startup Tunisia has selected 22 Tunisian startups for the eighth session of its AIR support instrument, giving early-stage teams access to grants of 30,000 TND.
The funding is designed to help startups develop and test a technology-based proof of concept, build prototypes and assess market potential. According to Startup Tunisia, AIR supports companies moving from an initial idea toward solution validation and market experimentation.
Eligible startups must be legally established under Tunisian law, be less than one year old when applying and have an experienced team dedicated to the project. They must also be developing an innovative, technology-based proof of concept with strong growth potential.
The AIR application process includes an eligibility review, committee scoring and a pitch session before final selection. Grants are released in two tranches: 67% at contract signing and 33% after the project is completed and its results and expenses are validated.
The selected startups will join the Flywheel community, a Startup Tunisia ecosystem initiative operated by Smart Capital.
