Qatar-based electronics retailer Techno Blue is preparing for expansion into Gulf Cooperation Council markets and other countries while continuing to develop its services in the local market, its chairman Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Thani said in an interview with Al Sharq.
He said changing consumer behavior and the growing role of technology are reshaping electronics retail. Techno Blue and Ghamdan Electronics are responding by integrating physical showrooms, e-commerce, social media and digital customer service.
The group is also investing in logistics, systems and employees to provide consistent support across customer touchpoints, including after-sales service. Al Thani said traditional stores will remain important because customers still want to examine products before buying, while digital platforms can complement physical retail.
Founded in Doha in 1990, Techno Blue sells consumer electronics, cameras, imaging equipment, home and commercial appliances, and home networking solutions through showrooms and online channels.
Speaking to young people, Al Thani said business expertise comes through hands-on work and persistence. He encouraged them to pursue private-sector careers and innovation, adding that success depends more on sustained effort than on family background. He also described retirement as a potential new phase for productivity and urged parents to monitor children’s technology use.
