The UAE Ministry of Economy and Tourism has partnered with Schneider Electric to launch The Nest Business Accelerator, a regional program for startups developing technologies in energy, industrial automation and artificial intelligence.

The program was announced through a memorandum of understanding signed during the Middle East and Africa Innovation Summit 2026 at Abu Dhabi’s ADNEC Centre. The summit brought together around 2,500 government officials, decision-makers, industry leaders and private-sector partners.

According to the announcement, The Nest will help technology startups move from ideas to implementation, scale their solutions and access regional and international markets. The initiative will combine technology expertise, specialist guidance and connections to partners and markets.

UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri said the program would support entrepreneurs working on technology, artificial intelligence and energy solutions while strengthening cooperation between the public and private sectors.

Schneider Electric’s Middle East and Africa President Walid Sheta said the partnership aims to support startups addressing economic and environmental challenges and contribute to smarter, more efficient and sustainable energy and industrial systems in the UAE and the wider region.
