Qatar Foundation’s AI-powered digital assistant, BOTaina, has won five Gold Awards at the 2025 MENA Stevie Awards in recognition of its innovation, strategy, implementation and technology development.
The awards were presented in Doha on September 13. The MENA Stevie Awards attracted more than 1,400 nominations from organisations across the Middle East and North Africa.
BOTaina received Gold recognition in five non-profit categories: AI innovation, AI products and services, AI strategy and implementation, technology development, and artificial intelligence and machine learning.
According to the announcement, the multilingual platform is designed to provide fast access to information while reflecting local language, culture and context. Qatar Foundation said the tool is intended to make digital experiences more accessible and useful for diverse communities.
Ahmed Alkahlout, Qatar Foundation’s digital media and platforms manager, said the recognition reinforces the organisation’s efforts to use technology to improve user experiences.
The foundation also plans to explore agentic AI capabilities for BOTaina. Future applications could include helping users complete tasks, access services, register for activities and navigate Qatar Foundation’s digital platforms, according to the announcement.
